SRAL Studio Head Monitor Job Description

The Studio Head Monitor Job requires keeping a calendar of the present month and the next month available at the studio and each general meeting to be signed by the volunteers who want to work to keep the studio open each weekday. You should arrive early at the monthly general meeting and set up the calendars and encourage people to sign up. Keep a list of subs available at the studio and a sheet telling the workers what the basic job of daily monitor entails, but encourage the monitors to look it up on the SRAL website. Make extra copies of the monitor job description occasionally, a master is kept in the black filing cabinet. Have a gathering of new volunteers when they need instruction about opening and studio procedure.

You will be asked to submit a paragraph for the monthly newsletter encouraging folks to volunteer and offering news pertaining to monitoring at the studio. Encourage monitors to find their own subs if they cannot fulfill their obligation to work. It is not the job of head monitor to fill the job on the spot if someone cannot work.
