The Santa Rita Art League offers members the opportunity to participate in two types of exhibits: open (no juror and no prizes), and juried, with cash awards to the three best paintings.

SRAL exhibited its Third Annual Members Juried Art Show from December 7 - December 19, 2011 at the Community Performing Arts Center, Green Valley, AZ. Jurors were Ellen Fountain, and Andrew Rush, both from the Tucson Drawing Studio. Winners were:

First Place Barbara Borgwardt for “Thistle Be Simple”
Second Place Nancy Meier for “South of Patagonia”
Third Place Doug Wood for “Cholla Barrage”
Donna Kroschel Memorial Ginny Seabrook “The Women”
Honorable Mentions Deanna Brooks for “Blue Chair”
  Nancy Freeman for “Sabino Creek”
  Cathy Rogge for “Giraffe”

SRAL Open Shows

Ongoing: Periodically throughout the year the Santa Rita Art League hangs exhibits of members’ original artwork at various GVR Social Centers. These will be annunced as they come up. All paintings, including those for the shows listed below, must conform to the Criteria for Artwork.

SRAL judged shows tap regional art experts to select winners of three cash prizes for First, Second and Third and in the case of the Members Juried show, best collage. Other non-cash prizes may be awarded, as well. All paintings must conform to the Criteria for Artwork.
